Energy Simulation Specialist Jobs

Successful completion of a Simulation instructor program or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.

Three (3) years of experience working in an educator role with experience in simulation-based learning is required.

Experience in leading projects or displaying leadership in the workplace is required.

Experience with professional organizations, interprofessional teams, and diverse learner groups is essential.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to manage conflict in a high-demand environment.

Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and methodologies and experience with capital and energy projects.

Comprehensive knowledge and experience in project management, contract management, budget development, business case development, financial controls and analysis.

Three (3) to five (5) years' recent, related experience in energy management in a large complex organization.

Familiarity with the Simulator Qualification Test Guide (QTG) is an asset,

Knowledge of how an aircraft is trimmed and how it is interpreted in a simulation environment is an asset,

Experience in engineering tools development (programming, GUIs) is an asset,

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Prior team leadership and/or management experience

Collaborate with internal customers to identify simulation system requirements, plan milestones and deliver critical tools/capabilities to support product development

Define and fulfill long term simulation requirements including certification aspects of the simulation platform

Experience working the Qualification Test Guide (QTG) of Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTDs)

Prior experience with DO-178, DO-254 or similar certification standards

Strong organizational and time management skills

Knowledge of Federal and OSHA requirements is an asset

Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

Assist and provide safety training on policies, procedures, and client specific requirements

Ideally 3-5 years of relevant experience

Certification as a Safety Professional or Emergency Medical Technician is preferred

Maintains operational knowledge of simulation-based education methodologies, simulation facilitation and debriefing, simulation standards of best practice, simulation technologies and videoconferencing infrastructure.

Comprehensive knowledge of simulation pedagogy, adult learning principles and educational design.

Solid understanding of simulation-based learning, interprofessional education, clinical skills training methods, and other complex learning strategies.

Familiarity with current trends and issues relating to clinical practice, health care, clinical and medical education, and simulation.

Advanced writing skills and ability to articulate policy and guidelines.

Advanced consultation, facilitation, and decision-making skills.
