Demonstrated leadership skills and experience navigating and presenting at all levels of organization

Lead, manage and develop a team of highly skilled legal professionals across the region.

You have substantive experience drafting and negotiating employment agreements both domestically and internationally and can work autonomously in a remote environment.

Strategically and cost-effectively manage and partner with outside counsel in employment litigation and other contested matters.

You have 7+ years of relevant experience in international employment law.

You have experience leading teams and developing talent, preferably across multiple geographies.

You have excellent written and verbal communications, relationship skills and business acumen.

Review and approve promotional offers ;

5 to 8 years' experience negotiating and drafting commercial agreements ;

Advise operational teams of Freedom Mobile Inc. a subsidiary of Videotron Ltd., on a daily basis ;

Work on a variety of consumer and commercial law files ;

Negotiate, draft and review commercial contracts.

Issue legal opinions based on facts and the applicable law while ensuring proper risk management

Manage files entrusted to external law firms

5 to 7 years of experience working in a private practice and/or in the legal department of a large company

Knowledge in the areas of law mentioned above (an asset)

Strong writing, analytical, negotiation and communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and good practical mind

Excellent interpersonal, communication, client service and time management skills

Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel

The desire to expand their skill sets in the legal profession

Preparation, formatting and proofreading of documents

Liaising with courts and tribunals

Daily maintenance of electronic and physical filing

Experience with and knowledge of the Canadian employment law and legislative requirements

Experience with and knowledge of immigration law relevant in employment context

As the need arises, manage outside counsel retained to assist with litigation matters.

Provide other legal advice and perform other responsibilities as required.

Minimum 5 -7 years of prior proven experience with major law firm and/or corporation

Very strong written and verbal communication skills
