Elementary Tutor Jobs in Alberta

Take notes during student lessons and help the students learn from your experience.

Assist students with homework and assignments using our tutoring service (in person or via phone)

Provide guidance and answers to questions students may have on exam preparations or study tips

Meet deadlines set by your school or employer and help with extra tutoring duties if needed

Track students’ progress and provide updates to your school or employer.

Communicate with your supervisor or teacher about your excellent performance.

Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field

University students with tutoring experience will be considered

Good knowledge of the current elementary French core curriculum

Some experience teaching/tutoring French at an elementary school (or equivalent) level

Strong English written and oral communication skills is a must

Strong French skills and ability to guide students’ understanding

Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a related field such as Educational Assistant, Early Childhood Education and Child & Youth Care.

Experience working with students and/or clients with exceptionalities.

A satisfactory Intervention Record Check from South Region Alberta Child and Family Services.

Designing activities for live Zoom sessions that capture the attention of 9-12th grade students better than social media or video games

Hosting live Zoom sessions during after-school hours

Implementing continuous improvement principles to build a program that is scalable to thousands of students

Making curriculum design decisions to align the program with College Board standards

Experience tutoring SAT, PSAT, and/or SSAT test prep strategies
