Electrician Industrial Maintenance Jobs in Ontario

Canadian certification as an Electrician is required (309A, 442A or Red Seal)

Dual-ticket certification (Electrician and Industrial Mechanic/Millwright) is strongly preferred

Experience in a manufacturing environment and machine maintenance

Sound technical and mechanical aptitude coupled with knowledge on how machines work

Good communication skills both written and verbal.

Knowledge of Health and Safety practices is necessary.

$72,000 + Overtime (OTE: $90,000+) + Training + Excellent Benefits

Must have experience as a Maintenance Electrician

2-3 years’ experience in electrical maintenance or associated work.

Knowledgeable with Electrical Safety Authority

Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components, and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem.

Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment and other components so that they remain at full functioning capacity.

Test systems with devices such as voltmeters, multimeter, and ohmmeters to ensure the system remains safe and that components are compatible.

Troubleshooting machine problems as they arise.

Industrial Electricians Certification or Electrical Construction Maintenance License or or Electrical Technicians/Technologist diploma.

3+ years relevant working experience

Knowledge of industry compliance standards & codes (OESC)

Past experience with gas fired turbine, process boilers or high pressure chemical process plant

Experience troubleshooting/maintaining low voltage systems including 600V motors, MCCs, Variable Speed Drives, UPS, Chargers/Battery and lighting systems, PLCs and DCS

Certified Journeyman Electrician with 1-2 years’ experience. Preference to those with proof of completing the Industrial Apprenticeship Program

Knowledge of conveyors, high speed slicers, pumps / compressor, electrical / electronic controls and high speed packaging equipment

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and code specifications to determine lay-out of industrial equipment and installations

Conduct planned preventive & predictive maintenance and keep maintenance records

Actively participate in preventive maintenance program on building equipment processing equipment daily

At least 2 years full-time working experience in similar Maintenance/Engineering Department

Experience in bakery equipment maintenance is an asset

Welding and fabrication knowledge is an asset

Basic computer skills required for Microsoft Office and CMMS use

Good communication and interpersonal skills
