Overview An Electrical Journeyman is a skilled tradesperson who is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. They must be knowledgeable in a variety of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power systems. They must also be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Detailed Job Description An Electrical Journeyman is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. They must be knowledgeable in a variety of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power systems. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. They must also be able to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems. They must be able to install and maintain electrical systems in accordance with local and national codes and regulations. They must also be able to install and maintain electrical components, such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems
• Knowledge of local and national codes and regulations
• Ability to install and maintain electrical components, such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers
• Ability to use hand and power tools
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an apprenticeship program
• Valid state electrical license
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Ability to work in confined spaces
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power systems
• Knowledge of local and national codes and regulations
• Knowledge of safety procedures
Job Experience
• Previous experience as an electrician or in a related field
