Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.

Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification

IV experience preferred or willing to be trained in intravenous injection and will be required to use a contrast injector

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology

Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure

CAMRT CT courses or CT Imaging Certificate an asset

Advanced knowledge/education in anatomy and physiology, including cross-sectional anatomy preferred

Minimum 2 years CT Technologist experience in the last three years preferred

Minimum 2 years helical multi-slice CT scan experience (preferably on a Toshiba CT scanner) preferred

Satisfactory completion of formal radiography training in an approved Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) training school or equivalent

Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario(C.M.R.T.O.)

Demonstrated ability to function in a professional and courteous manner

Previous experience in ECG’s, cardiac stress testing and Holter monitoring is preferred

Previous experience in cardiac rehabilitation will be an asset

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are essential

Currently registered with a recognized credentialing organization (CSCT or OSCT) or working towards it (recent graduates only)

Registration must be in good standing with the organization on an annual basis

BSc. in Kinesiology or related field an asset

5+ years of relevant professional experience and knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging. Good standing with a professional college preferred.

Are technically savvy. Excellent computer skills.

Have experience in business development or technology commercialization.

Coordination of and participation in accreditation assessments and the analysis of accreditation evidence following assessments.

Support market development and generate new business opportunities.

Review and analysis of submitted self-assessments.

Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure

Ensures competency, maintains an ongoing interest in updating knowledge on new equipment and procedures

Practices excellent patient care; demonstrating courtesy, kindness and understanding using effective communication skills

Demonstrate competency in I.V. insertion

Operates computer system in regard to patient information
