Overview:

Demolition Labourers are responsible for the safe and efficient dismantling of structures and buildings. They use a variety of tools and techniques to demolish buildings, including jackhammers, sledgehammers, and other hand tools. They must also be able to safely operate heavy machinery such as bulldozers, cranes, and excavators. Demolition Labourers must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and be able to lift and carry heavy objects.

How To Become an Demolition Labourer:

Most Demolition Labourers learn their trade through on-the-job training. Employers may require a high school diploma or GED, and some may require a valid driver’s license. Employers may also require that applicants have experience in construction or demolition.
