Db2 Database Developer Jobs

Support existing ITIL based configuration management process using SVN/Hudson, GIT/Jenkins for source code management.

University degree or equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

Primarily responsibilities will be Oracle SQL database development and configuration for Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software for multiple customers

Experience in implementing business rules using Oracle stored procedures, functions.

Support other developers, analysts, architects and core team members to ensure requirements are met leveraging an Agile based delivery approach.

Comply with industry standard secure development practices, including use of tools such as BURP to identify and proactively address known vulnerabilities.

Production support of the large production and non-production databases (including DPF) along with monitoring, performance tuning, and maintenance.

Design, setup, installation, and upgrade of DB2 multipartition DPF large-sized databases

Data migration of large-size databases

Setup and maintenance of HADR and SQL and Q Replication

Responsible for monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database and performing query optimizations.

DB2 LUW(Linux, Unix and Windows) DBA/ Database administration

At least 7+ years of experience in data development and solutions in highly complex data environments with large data volumes

At least 5+ years of experience with the development of data workflows in Informatica and/or Talend

Experience with developing scripts and utilities in Perl and Python

Experience with Autosys and/or Airflow

Experience with Hadoop a plus

Experience with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies

Partner with software developers and other stakeholders to understand data requirements, and develop database solutions that meet business needs

Support vital database administration responsibilities, including diagnosing performance issues and optimizing system configurations

Post-Secondary education in Computing Science or equivalent (ex. Information Systems Technology)

2+ years of professional/academic experience developing T-SQL for Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Azure SQL Database

Working knowledge in creating efficient Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML) SQL code

Good knowledge in Microsoft SQL, including SQL Server Administration

• Managing the database availability and performance, including incident and problem management

• Hands-on technical working experience with database creation, configuration, backup/restore and upgrade of database, mainly DB2

• Possess a strong foundation knowledge with Security & Auditing, Database Performance & Tuning, and PL/SQL

• Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies preferred

• Knowledge of SQL complex queries, RDBMs databases – DB2

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Power BI Development experience in Reports, Dashboard,s and DAX queries.

Experience in Power BI Administration and/or Angular is a plus.

Experience with Source Version Control software like GitHub and CICD pipelines

Identifies data sources, provides data flow diagrams, and documents sources to target mapping and process.

Design, implement, and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes, etc.) and database security.

Maintain the data warehouse performance by optimizing batch processing through parallelization, performance tuning, etc.

Team is using DB2 as back end.

This candidate will help support on Database team in Release and future changes.
