Controller And Vice President Of Finance Jobs

Contribute to strategic and management thinking as a partner to the business unit heads.

Responsible for CAM and realty tax reconciliation in communication with the Director of Property Management.

Manage all financial reporting requirements relating to both credit and investor relationships.

Perform any additional duties as requested by management.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 10+ years accounting experience post CPA.

Experience in a Senior Accounting or Finance role required.

Establish proper variance analysis processes, including the assessment of operating results and communicate potential problems to senior management team

Oversee staffing requirements and employee development to meet departmental needs for accounting and purchasing staff.

Assist in HR functions including hiring, payroll, benefits administration, training, annual increase proposal development and joint health and safety committee.

At least 10 years of related experience

Experience within a Manufacturing industry; preferably food manufacturing

Experience with smaller to mid sized companies

Preparation/ review of MIS, budget vs actual, monthly and annual financial statements for investors and management.

Develop long term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with the organizations strategic plan

Formulation of Annual operation Budget and Capex Budget and presentation to the management.

Responsible for overall accounting function

Establishing and executing internal control over accounting and financial reporting

Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction

Minimum of 10 years' experience, at an executive or senior level leading all Finance functional areas

Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration.

Experience in supporting business verticals in multi divisional businesses across Canada and USA.

Experience in hospitality sector is an asset

Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 an asset.

Excellent written and oral communication with transparency and integrity, teamwork and relationship-building skills.

Minimum 3+ years progressive financial management experience

Train and supervise the Accounts Department staff and raise awareness of financial management matters and meeting the organization’s financial objectives

Oversee, manage and exceed year-end audits and periodic client audits

Ensure financial compliance with all federal and provincial legislation, including regulatory year-end reporting requirement

Ensure all company vendors/liabilities are paid on time and internal controls are in place to ensure valid payments

Manage cash flow and ensure adequate cash flow to meet organization’s needs
