Clinical Microbiologist Jobs

Performing routine maintenance and calibration of microbiology lab equipment.

Implementing of USP, , and on a variety of products and samples.

Preparing samples according to USP monographs, general chapters, and in-house SOPs.

Completing paperwork for the release of materials, including status labels and certificates of analysis.

Complying with documented safety practices for the laboratory and the manufacturing facilities.

· Knowledge and experience with aseptic techniques and GLPs is required.

· Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (FDA, EU, ICH, ISO, USP)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; clear and concise technical writer

· Strong knowledge of method verification/method transfer and equipment/instrument validation

· Strong computer knowledge is required including Microsoft Office and ability to learn relevant internal computer systems.

Minimum 1-2 years of relevant microbiology experience; experience in relevant microbiological techniques is required.

Strong knowledge and use of aseptic techniques is required.

Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills

Support testing and review of materials including- raw materials; water; finished products; packaging components; stability and R&D materials.

Maintaining the Laboratory and workspace in an Audit-Ready State, communication of priorities with impacted departments (eg. Manufacturing, Laboratory, Planning)

Support plant hygiene through testing and review of samples related to environmental monitoring and cleaning validation.

Oral, written and presentation skills to provide educational services, teaching and to engage in discussion with various stakeholders, clients and administrators.

Expertise and/or knowledge in cutting edge laboratory testing (i.e. genomics) is desirable

Collaborates on, and facilitates, research projects with provincial, national and international organizations and universities; obtains independent peer reviewed external research funding.

Provides project leadership to assigned employees, scientists, research associates as required.

Develops an independent program of research with peer-reviewed funding.

Thorough understanding in development, implementation, monitoring of performance characteristics of diagnostic and/or reference testing.
