Manages appointment calendars including scheduling and coordinating meetings, speaking engagements, and/or conferences. Resolves scheduling conflicts and issues.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities.

Provides administrative and secretarial support by drafting correspondence and transcribing and typing correspondence, reports, presentations, and memoranda.

Researches, organizes, and summarizes support materials. Generates reports and presentations.

Coordinates the work flow within the assigned area. Receives, reviews, and processes information and takes follow-up action as required.

Develops and implements new work methods and procedures. Identifies problems, develops alternate solutions, and implements changes.

To provide direct clinical care, which encompasses dietetic assessment, treatment and management of patients.

The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative

Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills

Working knowledge of basic information technology

Knowledge of specialist dietetic interventions relevant to post.

Advanced abilities to conduct clinical interventions and treatment that are informed by a strong working knowledge of nutrition and dietetics

Provide general nutrition information to students and member of campus through health promotion, public education materials, and teaching on campus.

Evaluate the outcome of therapeutic nutrition counseling and general nutrition education activities.

Collaborate with the Health Education Coordinators to develop informational materials to aid in nutrition education.

Deliver educational lectures on nutrition special interest topics to academic student groups in various colleges throughout the year.

A minimum of five years of experience in clinical dietetics and engagement in clinical supervision throughout your career.

Strong organizational and time management skills required to set priorities and meet deadlines

Experience experience working in a healthcare facility, preferably in mental health is an asset

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Publisher, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Working experience using a dietary software, especially Computrition, is an asset

Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required

Knowledge of mental health illnesses and their nutritional implications

Participate in patient education and discharge consultations and provide recommendations in the planning and treatment assessment policies and procedures

Conduct pharmacological education or in-service sessions

One (1) year's pharmacy experience in the designated specialty area.

Education (client, staff, students, etc.)

Two years clinical nutrition experience preferred.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the WRHA policy.

Comprehensive knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapies.

Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.

Secondary School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)

Previous experience as a conductor will be considered an asset

Travel frequently and be away from home for extended periods of time

Handling the switching of cars, including coupling and uncoupling cars and able to lift out coupling device

Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification preferred

Bachelor’s Degree with major credits in nutrition or dietetics required, Master’s Degree an asset.

Successful completion of a Dietetic Internship Program required.
