Class A Owner Operators are independent contractors who own and operate their own commercial motor vehicles. They are responsible for transporting goods and materials from one location to another, often over long distances. Class A Owner Operators are responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials from one location to another. They must inspect their vehicles before and after each trip to ensure that all safety and operational requirements are met. They must also maintain accurate records of their trips, including fuel consumption, mileage, and any repairs or maintenance performed. They must be knowledgeable of the rules and regulations of the FMCSA and the DOT, and must adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
