Chief Data Engineer Jobs in Alberta

Assists management in developing RFP, RFQ, and handling departmental purchasing process.

Successful completion of a University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience of software solutions development lifecycles/methodologies i.e. agile or other rapid application development methods.

Translates complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture, designs logical data models, physical databases, and high performing software solutions.

Minimum five (5) years demonstrated experience as a technology solutions architect/developer/ specialist or similar position/capacity.

Demonstrated experience in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large datasets. 

• Develop Data Processes in support of our Integrated Asset Management and Reliability Centered Maintenance strategies

• Support FR&I engineering with processes, procedures and tools to utilize data management technologies

• An alternate combination of education and experience may be considered

• Minimum 4 (four)+ years of related experience

• Knowledge of pipeline facilities

• Demonstrated experience producing high-quality, error and omission-free deliverables within tight deadlines

·Consulting with data management teams to get a big-picture idea of the company’s data storage needs.

·5+ years - Enterprise Data Management

·Hands-on experience with Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Optimizer, Metadata Manager, data sharing

·Translates data access, transformation, and movement requirements into functional requirements and mapping designs.

·4+ years with Data Warehouse Architecture, Snowflake experience preferred

·Experience withAzure Data Factory and Azure Databricks

Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements utilizing both cloud and SAP toolsets.

4+ year's experience as a data engineer.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems.

Knowledge of data analytics, data mapping, data modeling, and data profiling tools.

Retail experience is an asset.
