Carpenter – Residential Construction Jobs in Alberta

Produce deficiency reports and follow up with sites and the company to ensure a smooth turnover to Asset Management

Create and update reports for, but not limited to, QC and Construction Management

Experience in residential construction industry in a relevant trade

Some knowledge of MS Office Suite and computer-related peripherals

Perform and maintain construction inspections and schedules

Analyze and ensure the execution of the work is being performed up to quality standards

Basic carpentry experience needed to install doors, door hardware, railings, and windows

Be a good “communicator” between customer and Project Manager

Familiarity with tools. (both hand tools and power tools) – Must have own tools

Ability to lift 50 – 75 pounds.

Responsible and able to work with others as well as on your own.

Valid insurable Driver’s License and abstract. (Individual must have own vehicle)

Excellent organizational coordination, problem-solving, and time management skills, including the planning and managing of multiple projects.

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or similar is preferred.

Conduct site visits as required and manage site servicing schedules and budgets.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or planning is preferred.

Experience with project estimating including generating estimating submission documents.

Minimum of 5-10 years as a Project Manager in Residential construction.

A minimum of 1 year experience working in residential construction, preferably wood-frame projects

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A diploma or degree in Management, Business, Construction, Architecture Technician, or Project Management Certification is an asset.

2-5 years of industry experience preferred.
