Business It Network Administrator Jobs in British Columbia

Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the IT industry in a support capacity

Solid problem solving, researching, and troubleshooting skills coupled with a willingness to listen, learn, share, and improve

Network +, CCNA, and other IT industry standard certifications would be an asset

Provides onsite assistance and first-line technical support for all staff and departments

Monitors performance on hardware, systems and applications

Designing and implementing efficient end-user feedback and error reporting systems

Directs and leads technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects in consultation with senior management.

Develop, manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, network/user devices, Microsoft platforms, firewalls, and other related systems.

Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks and vulnerabilities, and take proactive measures to optimize and secure network infrastructure.

Knowledgeable on network infrastructure and protocols, including LAN, WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.

Knowledgeable on network security best practices to protect against cyber threats and data breaches.

Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central and/or Dynamics CRM is an asset.

Coordinate with necessary stakeholders to enact infrastructure changes, including network upgrades and the management of remote “Global Protect Client” VPN software

Responsible for monitoring network to ensure network availability to all system users. Education/Experience

Strong ability to work independently and manage one?s time. Strong ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements.

Remote Support Experience through tools such as Windows Remote Assistance a plus

Manage account requests and configuration, working with remote teams supporting active directory.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

2+ years technical experience and knowledge in IT applications, processes, software, equipment and cross functional management methods and techniques:

CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent experience

2+ years of exceptional Client Service experience

Strong knowledge of Windows Workstation Support including Microsoft Office and other utilities
