An Asset Protection Security Guard is responsible for protecting people, property, and assets from theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities. They patrol assigned areas, monitor surveillance equipment, and respond to alarms. They also investigate suspicious activity and write reports. To become an Asset Protection Security Guard, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass a background check, and complete on-the-job training. You will also need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Other skills that may be beneficial include knowledge of first aid, CPR, and self-defense.
