Architectural Cad Drafter Jobs

Minimum 2+ years of working experience of AutoCad is requirement. Working experience of Revit is considered an asset.

Fluent in English, both written and verbal with Good communication skills

Produce finished structural model and/ or drawings from conceptual information and engineer’s markups.

Co-ordinate drawings with other consultants to ensure there are no conflicts.

Completing projects under company guidelines while meeting set deadlines and internal standards

Review drawings for accuracy and be accountable for quality of drawings.

Perform design and technical calculations, material lists, construction details, drawings and diagrams related to the project requirements.

Diploma from a recognized Electrical/Instrumentation technology program or equivalent specialized experience.

Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written

What qualifications will make you successful?  

Develop electrical drawings with AutoCAD including panel/cabinet layout, power distribution, system loading, grounding, cross wiring diagram and other drawings as needed.

Interact with panel shop to discuss any encounter issue regarding cabinet integration and revised the drawings accordingly for proper implementation.

Comply with relevant business management system (or quality) policies & procedures.

Ensure drawings produced are completed at the required client requirements and expectations.

Develop the capability of Ausenco in relation to design drafting by seeking advice and support from more experienced designers.

1-3 years’ experience producing drawings with Auto-Cad,

Experience with Microstation, Revit, 3D modelling is a desirable asset.

Written and oral communication skills

Performs other work of equal importance, difficulty and responsibility requiring comparable qualifications.

Experience in municipal drafting in related work or an equivalent combination of training and experience

Working knowledge of drafting practices, techniques, symbols and terminology.

Working knowledge of basic technical mathematics and familiarity with engineering nomenclature and practices.

Skill in the use of drafting and computing instruments (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).

Prepares sets of 'as-built' drawings for completed construction and installation projects.

Experience producing design deliverables for the concept, schematic, detail, and construction document stages of a project

Strong knowledge of wood frame construction and structural design

Knowledge about building and safety codes as well as a range of relevant products, materials, and industry standards

Qualifications For a Part-time Architectural Designer - Cad Technician

Ability to create architectural construction drawings for all types of buildings and facilities

Proficiency with software such as Microsoft Office, Autodesk Revit, and AutoCAD

Experience with project management skills and the ability to utilize best practices for project management

Experience using Procore as a project management tool an asset

Basic math knowledge needed to calculate dimensions, and requirements in materials

Make basic calculations to determine layouts requirements for structural design.

Interface with departmental personnel to obtain details of equipment and materials requirements

Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (AutoCAD 2021) software. Familiarity with Solidworks or equivalent 3D modeling software an asset
