Agriculture Marketing Specialist Jobs

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Agriculture or other relevant combination of education and experience will be considered an asset

Working from home and traveling within the region to meet with growers (when conditions permit)

Experience with farm machinery, basic geographic information systems (GIS), GPS systems, variable rate technology, or mapping software

Installing and providing maintenance support on Variable Rate equipment and software

Acting as a training specialist to growers to ensure they are confident in their use of the equipment and software

Collecting data from the farm including yield maps, as-applied maps, NERP data

Minimum of one-year experience in an agriculture-related role, farming background preferred

John Deere agriculture equipment experience preferred with dealership sales, service, training, or other related work experience a strong asset

Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office 365 and remote internet functions.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication and presentation skills

Understand cropping and agronomic practices delivering training on how they impact equipment configuration

Understand industry practices and equipment limitations to ensure adequate solutions for customer equipment needs

Answer technical questions from our dealers or from our Field Service people using personal knowledge, experience, and available reference sources

Bachelor's Degree with at least one year of technical experience with equipment, OR

Associates' Degree with at least three (3) years of technical experience with equipment, OR

HS Diploma with at least five (5) years' of technical experience with equipment

2+ years of mechanical experience

At least two (2) years of customer service experience

Post-secondary education at the University or College level in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics OR equivalent work experience.

Experience in the field of Canadian Agriculture (educational or working).

A working knowledge of competitor offerings and alternate sources of financing.

A strong knowledge of business financial statements, especially the Agriculture segment.

A working knowledge of economic conditions and political events affecting small business, especially the Agriculture segment.

Provide specialized Agriculture expertise and business/finance advice which increases the small business owner's ability to succeed in their business.
