Aggregate Quality Control Technician Jobs

Starting wage will be commensurate with skills and experience.

Works closely with Production Staff, Distribution Staff, and Sales Territory Manager

Implementation of Lafarge Safety Policies, and Compliance with Government Legislation.

Safety Induction of Visitors to Quality Lab or site as required.

Execution of Job Hazard Analyses for QC Tasks, and implementation of Action Items.

Execution and implementation of Lab/QC Safety Improvement Plans.

Follow Company safety and quality requirements.

Evaluate mix design performance and consult QA/QC Manager for necessary adjustments.

Report any and all non-conformance issues to the QA/QC Manager and write necessary Non-Conformance Reports.

Civil Engineering/Construction Technology or Civil Engineering preferred; relevant work experience will also be considered

Excellent computer and math skills

CCIL or ACI certification preferred

Some experience in construction, manufacturing or similar environment an asset

Experience in ready-mix concrete is preferred

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Strong computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel & Email)

Good verbal and written English communication skills

Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Participate in 8D investigations, training evaluations and other activities assign by Quality Engineer or Quality Manager

Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge in gauge selection / functionality

Knowledge and usage of inspection equipment

Product, process and systems audits experience

Extensive Health & Dental Coverage

Carry out moisture content analyses, water activity analyses, and other testing required for batch processing and change control management

Knowledge of regulations and guidelines governing a consumer packaged goods sector, e.g. Cannabis Regulations, NHP Regulations, Good Production Practices, HACCP

Some experience in a Quality Control or related role, preferably in cannabis or other consumer packaged goods sector

Keen attention to detail; organizational, administrative, and communication skills

Maintain and execute Tantalus Labs's risk-based production quality control practices

Conduct and document daily production quality checks and advise the Quality Control Specialist and Operations leaders on production status
