Warehouse Worker & Forklift Operator

Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time Forklift Operator / General Labourer to work a long-term contract, with a chance to be permanent, in the solid core department of our client, a reputable and multinational company majoring in chemical products and supplies, located in Saskatoon, SK. To qualify for this role, you must have reliable transportation and be physically fit and comfortable with performing general labor duties in addition to committing to 12 hours shift.

• Job type: Full-time | Temporary to Permanent
• Start Date: July 24th, 2023
• Location: Saskatoon, SK
• Pay rate: $18.61/hour + $2 premium when working overnight
• Shifts: Rotating Dayshifts and Nightshifts, 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow all instructions and guidelines to complete work tasks
• Prepare packaging and fill-off finished product
• Pick and load raw materials
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Assist in receiving required raw materials

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver's license, own vehicle, and the ability to drive themselves
• Permanent Canadian Residency is a must
• Forklift experience is a must (no certification required)
• Must have a clear criminal background check
• Available to work overtime, shift work, holidays and weekends as needed
• Able to wear full face respirator
• Demonstrated ability to understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analyses (JSEAs)
• Ability to communicate with peers, supervisors, and managers particularly in areas of safety, quality and performance.
• Should complete company medical check to wear a full respirator
• Demonstrated ability in effective problem-solving and troubleshooting in a variety of situations.
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Comprehensive ability to read and write in English
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and climb steps/ladders as well as lift up to 50 lbs. and preform repetitive tasks.
• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
