Position Overview:
As the Vice President of Textile Manufacturing, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the textile manufacturing process within our organization. This critical role will require you to develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Operations Management: Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for textile manufacturing facilities, ensuring they operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Production Planning and Optimization: Develop and execute production plans that meet customer demands while minimizing lead times, inventory costs, and downtime. Continuously assess and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Quality Control and Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures and standards throughout the manufacturing process. Monitor product quality, identify root causes of issues, and establish corrective actions.
Cost Management: Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality and safety standards. Analyze production costs, identify cost drivers, and implement cost-saving strategies.
Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, including raw materials, equipment, and manpower, to achieve production targets and meet operational goals.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring all employees and contractors adhere to safety protocols and guidelines. Comply with environmental regulations and seek sustainable manufacturing practices.
Vendor and Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts and terms to ensure the timely and reliable supply of materials and equipment.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the textile manufacturing team. Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and technological advancements.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead a diverse team of manufacturing professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance to foster their growth and improve overall team performance.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, design, logistics, and sales, to align manufacturing operations with overall business objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Textile Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in a senior leadership role within the textile manufacturing industry.
In-depth knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, technologies, and best practices.
Strong understanding of quality control systems, production planning, and cost management techniques.
