Visual Merchandiser Area Supervisor

Complete Merchandising Solutions Inc. (CMS)is a third party merchandising company in the live goods (plants) industry operating across Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. We service several Big Box Retailers by merchandising plants in their indoor and outdoor garden centres.

We are currently seeking aVisual Merchandising Supervisor with a car for Charlottetown PEI , Fredericton NB, Saint John NB & Moncton NB

• Communicate daily with your Team as well as the Regional Manager
• Will train employees as well as provide feedback to Team Members
• This role entails about 75% being in the field and 25% admin / computer work
• No sales service involved, although a friendly presence is required for the position as you will be expected to establish positive relationships with garden centre management staff
• Responsible for unloading plant deliveries and merchandising them in garden centres to create an organized and pleasant customer shopping experience.
• Will communicate with store contacts, manage inventory supplies and order product to maintain adequate stocks levels in the garden centers.
• Supervisors will report directly to the Regional Manager. Responsible for motivating and managing a team of Merchandisers year-round.
• The ability to follow direction and have a keen eye for attention to detail.
• Responsible for completing online reports (including pictures) through a free mobile App.
• Must have a reliable vehicle - as you will drive to different store locations.

Requirements:

• Experience in a Supervisory or team lead role.
• University or college education in horticulture considered an asset.
• Mobile device proficiency. Experience using Microsoft Excel
• Must be able to follow direction from the Management Team as well as show initiative and prioritize tasks independently.
• A friendly and approachable attitude is required as you will be expected to establish and build relationships with Customers, the CMS Management Team and our Clients.

Compensation:

• $18.50/hour
• Company phone (after probation)
• Permanent, Full-Time position.

* Mileage and drive time between store locations will be compensated

Hours:

• Full-Time hours for the Spring and Summer Seasons.
• Weekend work will be required during the Spring Season as well as November and possibly at other times throughout the year. May be required to work more than 8 hours in a day (in spring season and for promotional periods).
• Generally, daytime weekday hours. Will be expected to check and respond to time sensitive emails outside of normal working hours.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Must be physically capable of performing all duties as assigned which may include: Standing/Working for long periods depending on delivery sizes; Working outside in the elements; Fast-paced environment; Tight deadlines; Repetitive tasks; Handling and lifting heavy loads at times - up to 50 lbs.
