Who you are:

A Virtual Health/Patient Advocate. You will draw on your knowledge, experience, and skills to empower and guide clients to be able to navigate through the complexities of the different levels and phases of care. You are your clients’ cheerleader, helping to collaboratively create cohesive care plans, and you possess the clinical acumen to guide them navigate solutions, resources and all other health issues as needed.

You possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to effectively convey information and detailed explanations.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for providing patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of clinical practice and procedures in a health-care environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions, exercise good judgment, discretion and initiative when dealing with confidential or sensitive information and/or in responding to inquiries.
  • Able to mentor, educate and empower clients to help them navigate their journey successfully.
  • Strong understanding of the health-care system and how to guide a patient through their journey.
  • Innovative and creative thinking, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Practice cultural competence, respect, empathy, dedication.
  • Well-developed time management skills and can problem solve effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Awareness and adherence to established standards of professional practice and personal conduct.

What You Bring:

  • Competence in providing expert health guidance and advice via virtual platform tools (chat, call, video etc.).
  • Health degrees in Nursing (RN/LPN), Pharmacy, Medicine (MD/PA), Paramedics or equivalent preferred.
  • Tech-savvy and strong computer skills and comfortable with Microsoft office, Google, Zoom, Chat etc.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical or health-care environment (acute-care hospitals, ED, residential/LTC, community etc.) experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a health-care triaging.
  • Desire to serve as an ambassador regarding the importance of virtual health support.
  • Passion for evidence-informed practice & excellence in care and health advocacy.
  • Active professional license preferred, but not required.

Location: 100% remote position, anywhere in Canada - Flexibility to work from home; Flexible Part-time and/or Full-time hours
