We are currently recruiting a Tower Crane Operator with Hammerhead experience. Must have experience, with multiple, overlapping cranes.

Duties/Responsibilities


  • Operate crane to lift, move or place construction equipment and materials
  • Assist with erection and dismantle and/or top climbing
  • Perform weekly maintenance - greasing, daily inspection
  • Inspect crane and calculate capacities
  • Fly tables
  • Operate crane as per BC Crane Safety and OH&S legislation
  • Train apprentices - give seat time, work with riggers


Working Conditions


  • Overtime and work on weekends as required
  • Overtime after 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Double time after 12 hours per day
  • Two paid 15 minutes breaks and one ½ hour unpaid lunch break per day
  • Working at heights


Competencies


  • Positive attitude towards safety
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Clear communication, good English for radio work
  • Manual dexterity, mechanically inclined, physically fit
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently


Requirements


  • 2-6 years experience operating hammerhead tower cranes
  • Experience working on sites with multiple tower cranes working simultaneously
  • Will consider apprentice tower crane operators (B ticket)
  • Fall Protection
  • Journeyman Red Seal and/or A ticket tower crane certification preferred
