Job Description
Are you a certified licensed tool and die maker with strong experience in an injection mold facility?
Are you looking for a chance to advance your current leadership skills
Do you have experience in an automotive setting?
This Tooling/Mold Supervisor position is on a straight day shift
Salary $85,000-$95,000 full benefits+pension
  • Interview/testing of candidates for positions within the department.
  • Responsible for maintaining consistency throughout with respect to discipline, overtime distribution, and other associate issues
  • Provides hands-on support by fabricating equipment (cutting, burning, and welding various metals
  • Schedules projects for machining and metal fabrication
  • Analyze and solve problems making necessary countermeasures to correct problems
  • Ensure that good housekeeping practices (5S) are adhered to always
  • Assists Engineering with designs related to sub-equipment

Responsibilities
  • Provides hands on support by fabricating equipment (cutting, burning, and welding various metals)
  • To work with Production and Engineering to ensure mold breakdowns are repaired correctly and in a timely manner. To monitor the daily activities of the tooling area of Maintenance. To design various types, sizes, and shapes of jigs and fixtures, and evaluate equipment. To help with the evaluation of tooling and track the repair and preventive maintenance of tooling. To train other associates within the department as needed
Qualifications
  • Licensed and 5 to 10 years of tooling experience
  • OR a licensed Tool Maker with a background in injection mold making/repairs
  • Mould maker certification with a background in injection mold making/repairs
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset
  • Provides hands-on support by fabricating equipment (cutting, burning, and welding various metals)
  • The ability to use mill machine, grinders, and other tools
  • Leadership experience, Ideally you have worked in an injection mold setting
