Job Description

Edmonton Exchanger Group of Companies provides a wide range of products and services for the oil and gas, petrochemical and power generation industries. We specialize in the fabrication of pressure vessel components, heat exchangers, custom steel products and pipe spools. In addition, we provide shutdown and full-scale maintenance services for refineries and petrochemical plants.


Edmonton Exchanger requires experienced detail-oriented timekeepers in our Field Services division for various projects at job sites in Edmonton, LLoydminster and Fort McMurray areas.


Projects include short-term shutdowns/turnarounds as well as some longer-term work.


Multiple short-term and long-term positions with excellent compensation packages are available.


Principal Duties, Responsibilities and Accountability

  • Assisting with new employee onboarding process
  • Ad hoc customer reporting as required
  • Uploading data into various customer systems
  • Co-ordinate camp, security logistics
  • Entering transactions into Edmonton Exchanger SAP system
  • Processing and entering HR/payroll information
  • Provide administrative support as required
  • Tracking labour, equipment, and materials
  • Respond to worker inquiries


Qualifications

  • Intermediate to advanced level Excel
  • Experience with Building Trades Unions an asset
  • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must pass pre-access drug and alcohol test
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a timekeeper or project accountant on an industrial site
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail


Work Schedule

  • Both day and night shift positions are available
  • Work hours vary depending on project
  • Pre- and post- shutdown hours are typically 10 hour shifts, 4 days a week
  • During shutdowns typical hours are 10-12 hour days, 6 days a week
