Taproom Bartender / Retail Store Attendant

Our taproom and newly renovated bottle shop is opening this summer and we’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team. Do you like craft cider/wine/beer? Do you enjoy working with people and serving up a good time? We’d love to hear from you and chat more about the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Setting the vibe in the taproom - occasionally creating social media content, arranging table decor, curating playlists etc.
• Processing online orders
• Providing friendly and responsible service within the taproom and patio
• Assisting with special events, tastings and tours
• Keeping the taproom area clean and stocked
• Assisting customers with retail purchases
• Handling opening and closing procedures

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Fundamental cider/wine knowledge and an eagerness to learn
• High attention to detail, proactive, motivated and professional
• Solid communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 25 kg
• Smart Serve certification

ABOUT THE POSITION:

• Flexible schedule, ability to work weekends required
• 15-30 hours per week
• Fun, fast-paced environment in beautiful downtown Goderich
• Opportunity to wear many hats and assist with all aspects of the cidery including production, packaging, sales and marketing
• $17.00 per hour + tips
• Part-time, seasonal position with potential to evolve into full-time/permanent position
