Supply Planner, Crop Protection


This opportunity enables and maintains stock levels of product(s) to meet customer’s demand for current and future seasons.


Bayer is committed to a flexible hybrid working environment. This is a permanent position based out of Calgary, AB.


What you will do:


  • Manages all issues between Production, Supply Chain and Sales regarding Finished Goods production planning
  • Drives Inventory Accuracy (also identify and manage obsolete inventory) in coordination with Distribution Requirement Planning, Product Management and Inventory Management
  • Coordinates rework or re-label finished goods with RSMs and various production facilities
  • Oversees New Product Requests (NPR) when needed for new finished goods or packaging from creation to completion
  • Influences Customer Service, Manufacturing and Distribution Requirements Planning Services to optimize the distribution of finished goods inventory to support the sales forecast
  • Key contributor in Country S&OP Supply Review and weekly S&OE process
  • Leads finished goods production planning meetings with manufacturing sites, Regional Supply Managers, Customer Service, Distribution Requirements Planning, Distribution, Label & Package Graphics, and Sales Forecasting
  • Ensure a strong line of communication and transparency with potential supply issues and alignment of trade-offs
  • Achieves agreed-upon supply service levels in accordance with inventory management performance targets to deliver a best-in-class customer experience
  • Challenges existing processes and partners with others to develop solutions that improve supply/demand alignment


Who you are:


  • Advanced level of MS Excel (familiarity with SAP is an asset)
  • Cross-functional skill to drive change and get stakeholder buy-in
  • Proven skills in decision making, to manage dynamic business needs and complex optimization activities
  • Import and Export experience is preferred
  • Experienced working with Data Analytics, deriving insights from large data sets
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3/+ years’ related supply chain experience; or 5/+ year’s experience in a related role
