Position Overview


Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Warehouse and Distribution, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital, the STORES ATTENDANT, STORES is responsible for: storing and issuing of stock and non-stock items; performing inventory counts as required; maintaining relevant electronic and paper records; and performing other related duties as assigned.


Experience


  • Register for the Fundamentals of Material Handling/Warehousing from Red River College (or recognized equivalent), and successfully complete the course within 6 months of being rewarded the position, plus six(6) months experience as a Supply Attendant or Dispatcher in Distribution.
  • Six(6) months warehouse and inventory experience to include receiving, putting away, picking and issuing inventory/stock OR


Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)


  • Grade XI


Certification/Licensure/Registration


  • Must possess current Straddle Reach Operator, Lift Truck Operator, Order Picker and Low Lift Pallet Mover Operator course certificates from the Manitoba Safety Council or will have to successfully obtain certificates within three(3) months of employment. Must maintain certificates in good standing.
