Sprinkler Fitter (Apprentice/Journeyman)

JOB DETAILS:

We are currently accepting resumes for Fire Sprinkler Fitter apprentices (1^st-4^th) and journeypersons for work in the Fort McMurray and Edmonton areas.

Wage

1^st year - $23.45/HR(Total Package $38.11)

2^nd year - $28.14/HR(Total Package $43.37)

3^rd year - $32.83/HR(Total Package $48.62)

4^th year - $37.52/HR(Total Package $53.87)

Journeyperson -$46.90/HR(Total Package $65.98)

REPONSIBILITIES:

• Read & interpret blueprints, evaluate plans diagrams, specifications, schematics, and manufactures manuals.
• Install wet and dry sprinkler systems as per the NFPA and Building Code.
• Inspect, test, maintain and install wet/dry sprinkler systems, deluge systems special hazard, and clean agent systems.
• Travelling to/from various job site locations.
• Install fire sprinkler systems for Industrial and commercial applications.
• Work with the team to inspect, test, maintain and install sprinkler systems.
• Execute work safely and promote safe work behaviours with peers.
• A drug and alcohol test may be required pending client requests for pre-access on some projects.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Knowledge of hand tools
• Ability to lift heavy loads (50lbs)
• 1-4 years experience installing and servicing sprinkler systems
• Ability to read & understand blueprints
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to complete documentation with detail & accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organization and time management
• Other trade or construction experience an asset
