We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Solution Designer to join our team!
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in and experience designing and implementing complex cloud-based applications.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Three years of experience with designing applications suitable for containerization (Openshift, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS)
  • AWS Developer – Associate Certification
  • Three years of with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more
  • Five years of experience in a similar role
  • At least 3 years of experience with designing and implementing scalable and highly available applications
Responsibilities:
  • Join the Cloud Business Office cross functional team to assist in monitoring and optimizing the performance and cost of AWS resources
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and features and provide recommendations for adoption
  • Strong experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more
  • Experience with designing and implementing scalable and highly available applications
  • Design and implement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant applications on AWS
  • Provide guidance and best practices for building secure and compliant systems on AWS
  • Collaborate with other teams to plan and design new features and enhancements to existing products
  • Strong experience with designing applications suitable for containerization (Openshift, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS)
  • Work with development teams to ensure the proper design and deployment of applications on AWS
Location and other Key Details:
  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Depending on the nature of the role, we have implemented a Hybrid Work Model to provide our employees with a combination of office-based work and ‘work from home’ flexibility. To learn more, speak to your recruiter
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
