Position

We are looking for an experienced application developer to work within a small nimble development team. In this position, you will contribute to both development and operations of a small and existing cloud application, and will code on fast-paced, high energy, and exploratory product development team.

For this position, we require an Engineering degree, a Computer Science or related degree and 4+ Years of development experience.

A Special Note About This Position

If you aspire to gain these skills listed below, and while don't have extensive experience but are willing to learn- then we still want to hear from you. Many of our current engineers have developed these skills and gained certification while working at Rebel. We're happy to embark on this journey with a dedicated and passionate developer.

Responsibilities:

• Using cloud computing services and approaches with AWS
• Managing multiple development projects to achieve real world objectives
• Coding and scripting using a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
• Research, develop and implement the latest technologies with AWS
• Designing and coding fast, secure, and scalable applications

Skills:

• Developing Relational databases (MySql, MSSql) and other non-structured data sources
• Integrating with partners, customers, and third-party systems via Web API/WebSockets
• Source Control, Automated Build and Continuous integration
• Maintainable & Testable Code; Progressive Release
• Analytical skills for performance measurement and data driven decisions
• Proficient in modern JavaScript coding, testing and debugging
• Architecting Object Oriented systems in multiple languages (Java, NodeJS, Perl, PHP, or C#)
• Agile & Scrum project management techniques
• Advanced knowledge of AWS Services including: EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, API Gateway
• Advanced cloud-native concepts and techniques
• Understanding and using serverless computing
• Minimum Viable Product Development
• Strong interest in user-centric design and usability

Experience:

• 3-6 years of software development experience
• Time needed to achieve this level can vary and be dependent on other factors.
• Experience working with one or many current cloud technologies, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
• Experience with PaaS, microservices, serverless architectures and container technologies
