The Software Developer's role will involve researching techniques for novel approaches to the integration problems at hand, developing prototypes to assess the viability of approaches, and implementing the solutions in a lifecycle approach. The Programmer/Analyst will have close relationships with other development teams and serve as the technical aid in generating ideas for new API features and Integrations within the Meridian environment. It is critical for the Programmer/Analyst to be able to communicate to non-experts complex API concepts and any specific data requirements for prospective features by obtaining a firm foundation in MuleSoft and other integration technologies.
Your role as a Software Developer you will:

• Able to prototype API integrations to applications and quickly determine viability.
• Aid development teams in producing innovative ideas for API (Application Programing Interface) applications.
• Understand necessary data requirements to implement API for applications.
• Keep up to date with new technologies, MuleSoft and technologies that may be used to support applications.
• Ensure that applications are available to other teams and/or products via the use of APIs.
• Perform a variety of complex technical tasks, including design, architecture, programming, maintenance, unit testing, and documentation of software solutions, web-based technology and shared multidimensional data solutions primarily using API’s.
• Research, design, and implement and work simultaneously and closely with several development teams providing consultancy on API design ensuring the implementation of our standards.
• Integrate Mulesoft and other third-party software into existing applications and infrastructure.

How you will succeed:

• Strong knowledge of API security standards, including OAuth2. 0/OpenIDConnect.
• Proven experience working with an API Management platform
• Experience designing Restful APIs (Application Programing Interface) using API description tools such as Swagger, RAML, API Blueprint, etc. would be an asset.
• Solid understanding of SOA/REST architecture and REST maturity models.
• Degree or diploma in computer science or related field (Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Physics, Mathematics, or related field).
• Background in independent research.
• Strong quantitative background:
• Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to other members of the team.
