Job Summary:

Cape Smokey is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic Guest Services attendant to guide visitors through the guest experience.A guest services attendant is an outgoing storyteller who navigates guests throughout the resort, assisting with ticket sales, rentals and the gondola lift.Guest services attendants are outdoor enthusiasts and natural ambassadors for the year round snow resort experience, embodying the lifestyle and inspiring others.Whether it's winter or summer, you understand there is an experience for everyone.

Requirements:

• Experience developing budgets and estimates to carry out work/repairs
• Demonstrated experience in one or more areas of snow resort operations, including; maintenance, grooming, snow making or trail building (Landscaping)/maintenance
• Understanding of supply chains
• Experience developing and maintaining safety standards
• Experience with preventative maintenance
• Awareness of global industry standards
• Ability to build and follow maintenance schedules
• Experience working in the winter and summer at a snow resort an asset
• Certified training an asset

Tasks

• Operate fan snow gun
• Perform maintenance on rides and equipment
• Drive trucks, vans and other vehicles to transport amusement rides, games and other attractions to amusement attraction sites
• Operate 4-wheel drive vehicles
• Check motor room equipment, gear boxes, carriage and tension systems and other equipment for safe operation
• Set up and operate air/water snow gun
• Shut down snow making plant
• Change propane tanks
• Monitor equipment to detect wear and damage
• Determine snow quality and equipment required
• Operate all-terrain vehicles (ATV)
• Monitor safety area
• Monitor snow making operation
• Operate snowmobiles
• Utilize computers in snow making operations
• Record weather information and other data
• Assist with ski lift and snow maintenance operations
• Secure and release safety belts and bars
• Clean and maintain recreational facilities and grounds

Hours:This position is a full-time,for 40 hours per week.

Salary:The qualified applicant will be paid an hourly wage of $22 - $25 per hour
