Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Snow Shovelers. As a Snow Shoveler, you will be responsible for clearing snow and ice from various Houses to ensure safe and accessible environments during winter conditions. You will be told when and where to clear out the snow in advance and you will have 24hrs on a certain date to clean the provided home. Your pay will be Minimum $30 dollars per house completed and it will go up depending on how many houses you completed and how big the houses are.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate snow blowers, snowplows, or other equipment as required.
  • Report completed tasks and document snowfall measurements.
  • Clear snow from walkways, driveways, stairs, entrances, parking lots, and other designated areas using shovels and other appropriate tools.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Apply ice melt or sand to surfaces to prevent or minimize slippery conditions.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure efficient snow removal operations.
  • Ensure designated pathways, emergency exits, and accessible entrances remain clear and accessible.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing duties.
  • Manage accumulated snow piles by relocating or removing them to designated areas.

Qualifications:

  • Comfortable working in cold and inclement weather conditions.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in cold weather conditions.
  • Attention to safety and ability to follow established safety protocols.
  • Reliable, and able to respond to snow clearing needs in a timely manner.
  • Having a drives license is a recommend but not mandatory.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills are a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with proper snow shoveling techniques to minimize strain and prevent injury.
  • Stamina and endurance to shovel snow repeatedly and work for extended periods.
