Job Summary:

One of our clients is seeking skilled Insulated Metal Panel Installers for a project at the truck maintenance building in Brucejack Mine. The project involves the installation of insulated metal panels on the building. We are looking for experienced individuals with expertise in sheet metal installation and knowledge of industrial construction practicses.

Responsibilities:

• Install insulated metal panels on the truck maintenance building according to project specifications and industry standards.
• Work collaboratively with the construction team to ensure timely completion of the project.
• Handle and operate required tools and equipment effectively and safely.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate any issues or concerns to the project supervisor.
• Perform quality checks to ensure panels are properly installed and aligned.
• Follow blueprints and drawings to accurately install the metal panels.

Requirements:

• Availability to work a 20-day shift followed by 7-8 days off rotation.
• Journeyman certification in sheet metal installation is preferred. 3rd and 4th-year apprentices with relevant experience will also be considered.
• Valid First Aid and Fall Protection certifications.
• Additional certifications such as AWP (Aerial Work Platform) are desirable.
• Experience in industrial construction and working on large-scale projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans.
• Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred.
• Crane signaling experience is a benefit but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques.
• Proficiency in the installation of insulated metal panels.

Compensation:

• Accommodation will be provided in a camp dormitory with internet access.
• Compensation ranges from $30 to $45 per hour, depending on experience.
• Successful completion of the project may result in early completion and departure.
• Transportation will be arranged from Terrace BC to the worksite and back daily.
• Meals will be provided at the camp.
• Travel time may be compensated; further details can be discussed.
