Job Description
Senior Fabricator / Welder
AWC Water Solutions Ltd. specializes in providing integrated water, wastewater treatment plants and many other specialized industrial packaged solutions. We offer clients advanced in-house engineering & design with 3D modeling, piloting, fabrication and machining, in-house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn-key solutions.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and welding, with expertise in working with aluminum and stainless steel components. As a Senior Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings, fabricating and welding aluminum and stainless steel components using various shop equipment and tools, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of the finished products. In addition, you will provide guidance and support to other team members, maintain a safe and clean working environment, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the fabrication process.
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate daily records as required.
  • Input weekly timesheets accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
  • Occasional field site work and associated travel as required
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of conduct in the shop.
  • Confined Space work activities – training will be provided
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control activities as required.
  • Fabricate and weld components according to specified layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
  • Assist the Fabrication Foreman with duties and responsibilities as needed.
  • Safely operate and use a variety of shop equipment and tools, including forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, rigging, grinders, cutting torches, and other hand tools.
  • Work independently based on drawings and documentation.
  • Ensure work is performed efficiently and within schedule requirements.
Health / Quality Responsibilities:
  • Immediately report any accidents or incidents and cooperate in their investigation.
  • Maintain orderly and clean work areas.
  • Cease work when conditions are unsafe and report them to management.
  • Use and maintain safety equipment, work tools, and personal protective equipment as required.
Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • 5+ years relevant fabrication and welding or equivalent
  • 2+ years as an Intermediate fabricator / welder or equivalent
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Accredited Trade school or equivalent experience
  • Certifications: CWB & ASME (as applicable)
