Job Description

About Our Project:


TEEMA's client is delivering a pivotal 5.7-km subway line extension in Vancouver, from VCC-Clark Station to Broadway and Arbutus. When completed, this project will provide fast, frequent, and convenient transit services to one of the largest employment centers in British Columbia, alongside world-class healthcare facilities, an emerging innovation and research hub, and growing residential communities.


Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to steer the quantification of all upstream claims for our Prime Contract department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing independent studies, analyzing data, and interpreting findings, presenting conclusions in a clear, concise manner
  • Demonstrating a keen interest in contractual and legal matters
  • Providing expert advice on matters relating to quantum dispute resolution
  • Crafting comprehensive research and high-level reports for presentation to clients and/or dispute panels
  • Taking a leading role in estimating and quantifying all upstream claims


Qualifications:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Broad experience with construction projects at various stages of development across diverse sectors
  • Strong critical thinking abilities; self-motivated and driven
  • Extensive experience in the quantification and management of construction claims
  • An enthusiastic, self-driven, thorough, and detail-oriented approach to work
  • Exceptional proficiency in data manipulation in Excel
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in quantity surveying, estimating, and claims within the construction industry
