Our collaborative and fun Ontario Geomatics team is looking for a talented licensed Ontario Land Surveyor to act as a Senior Project Manager in Ottawa, ON. The primary purpose of this role is for client service while maintaining and improving the work environment within the GeoVerra Team.  This position has significant impact with external clients and internal team members, and therefore needs to be connected and live out the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values through actions and results.


This position is also open to applicants with the OLS designation currently residing in other provinces or cities that would be open to relocating to Ottawa, ON.


What you will do:


  • Facilitate an environment of high performance. Mentor and support the development of self and the project team members.
  • Monitor project and team performance. Forecast project outcomes and adjust where necessary to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Communicate with clients and internal team members to ensure timely flow of information, actions, deliverables, timelines and budgets.
  • Identify and resolve client, project and/or team issues.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to sites.
  • Ensure Quality, safety, legislation and industry standards are met or exceeded.
  • Manage client expectations, scope creep and scope changes through active communication.
  • Lead project teams to deliver quality work on time and on budget.


What you will bring:


  • Diploma or Degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology, B.Sc. in Geomatics.
  • 10+ years of previous survey project management experience with demonstrated success in managing: Client Expectations, Scope, Budget / Forecast, Schedule, and Quality
  • Ontario Land Surveyor (OLS) designation is required.

  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as per the limits provided in the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace
  • Security clearance from the Government of Canada is considered an asset.
  • Effective time management and strong organizational skills while working to project deadlines.
