Position Overview:
Responsible for supervision of Planners in the co-ordination and analysis of development proposals including the preparation of planning reports related to land-use and urban and rural development. Analysis of Planning documents and policies including reports to Council and/or Ratepayers Groups.
Qualifications and Experience:
• University Degree in Planning or suitable equivalent.
• Membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners and Ontario Professional Planners Institute, and designation as a Registered Professional Planner (RPP).
• Minimum of five (5) years progressively more responsible municipal planning experience, including a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
• Excellent analytical, report writing and communication skills.
