As a Senior Java Developer you will work with a talented team of developers to build scalable systems. Be responsible for managing/calculating accurate taxes and support Restaurant and Courier financial services teams for the weekly earnings.

• Contributing and adhering to patterns and processes
• Work in a team and mentor other team members
• Be responsible for product functionality, maintaining existing services, and introducing new services
• Use best practices to improve products/services or processes
• Unit tests and code reviews are at our core — confidence in our pull request is the result
• Identify innovative solutions

Recipe For Success

Key ingredients:

• Familiarity with Version Control (Git).
• Experience with Docker containers, microservices architecture, serverless development, and cloud computing
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, design patterns, testing, and debugging
• Familiarity with SOLID principles
• Solid understanding of consuming, producing, and designing REST web services
• Familiarity with message brokers (SNS/SQS)
• Previous exposure to data persistence in relational like MySQL, unstructured and/or cached forms
• Understanding of continuous delivery, deployment, and integration
• Deep knowledge of OOP with Java, and features like lambdas and streaming functionality
• Work with the product team, providing technical knowledge and expertise helping to design the future of our products
• Experience working with AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Fargate, DynamoDB/RDS, Elasticache, Elasticsearch)
• Experience with System logging and monitoring using tools such as Prometheus, Graphite, and CloudWatch
• Passion for teamwork and code reviews
• Ability to deliver the best patterns and practices to solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD best practices and tools such as Jenkins.

Optional Toppings

• Experience with test-driven development
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-a-Code driven deployments, preferably Terraform
• Experience with Domain Driven Design
• Be comfortable in a multi-team environment, and familiar with pull-request workflows & etiquette
• Experience mentoring/influencing peers
• Experience or familiarity with Functional Programming concepts.
• Experience with Event Driven Architecture
• Be a self-starter, whether that’s coming up with new ideas, developing organizational and technical knowledge, or improving existing processes and solutions
• Experience with Hexagon Architecture or any other like Onion or Clean Arch
