Adecco is currently seeking a full-time Senior Health and Safety Advisor for a long-term contract with a well-established oil and gas company in Lloydminster, SK. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Foster a learning environment in which we can learn from our incidents
• Assist in the development and monitoring of gap-closing action plans
• Develop assurance activities for the site and Health & Safety team
• Work with site leadership and Deployed Health and Safety team to maintain safety management plans for each entity
• Continue evolving the management system reviews to find eroding processes in our management system (COIMS)
• Assist sites in the development of yearly assurance plans
• Support/lead initiatives and Health & Safety programs

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
• Related post-secondary education or equivalent experience is required
• High school diploma or equivalent is a must
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a Health and Safety environment is a must
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• Working knowledge of Regulatory requirements in an oil and gas environment

Nice to have:

• Root Cause Analysis certification (ie. Sologic)
• Minimum 3-5 years of working knowledge of SAP or other Enterprise software
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience with Root Cause Analysis and Incident Investigations
• Occupational Health and Safety Certificate/Diploma or Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
• Minimum 5-7 years of working knowledge of performing safety audits and inspections
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with 3rd party consultants and contractors
• Certified Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising staff
• Process Safety Related Training (PHA/HAZOP, LOPA, P&ID Interpretation)
