Senior Financial Analyst – Financial Planning And Analysis (Fp&A) Defense And Security (D&S)

Role And Responsibilities

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be a business partner providing guidance and support to the D&S regions.
• Acts as the liaison between Corporate Finance and the D&S regions.
• Conducts thorough research and analysis of variances to compare actuals to forecast, budget and prior year.
• Participates in the review, analysis and consolidation of the monthly forecast and annual budget of the D&S Segment, including the preparation of reports to upper management.
• Supports special projects and works with different teams in process improvement initiatives.
• Performs general and customized analyses to support strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and actions to people at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines in a results-oriented environment
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (with expertise in Excel).
• Capable of working on projects with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting or Finance.
• A minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience, such as financial reporting and analyzing financial performance.
• Accounting designation required CPA (CA, CGA, CMA).
• Advanced financial modelling skills, prove ability to analyze complex issues with and develop rapid, impactful solutions with high degree of attention to detail.
• Exposure to Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Financial Management a plus.
