In this role, you will get the opportunity to work with customers on almost every continent worldwide; as well as occasionally interfacing with engineering staff at one of our 3 other facilities worldwide – including New Zealand, and North Carolina. The successful candidate will possess strong Project Management skills and will work at our design office in Lindsay, Ontario. Working knowledge and experience regarding the Sawmill Industry would be an asset but is not required. TS Manufacturing is seeking a Project Manager to lead team members to successful completion of their tasks within allocated timelines, budgets, and scopes of manufacturing projects.
Responsibilities:
- Allocate work to team members while reviewing project completion in relation to timelines.
- Completing detailed project schedules and budget allocations, while monitoring and reporting on a project's overall status utilizing both MS Projects and Microsoft Excel.
- Manage all communications with the client.
- Assess on-site progress of all sub-contractors, review invoices and approve for payment.
- Review and initiate progress invoicing with Accounts Receivable.
- Identify, secure and manage sub-contractors to assist in the completion of the project as necessary.
- Organize installation dates with the client and TS managers.
Qualifications
- Working experience in one or more of the following specialty areas;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing large projects from beginning to end
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent would be an asset.
- Experience in Manufacturing Engineering as it relates to fabrication/assembly of automated equipment
- Bulk material handling equipment and processes design
- Sawmill/lumber breakdown/handling design
- Project management on integrated mechanical systems and startups
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A driven, self-motivated, and problem solving individual
- Experience in Autodesk AutoCAD 2010 or later, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work extra hours to ensure a successful project as required
- Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD 2D and Inventor an asset
- Occasional travel may be required. Must have valid Passport.
