Senior Data Scientist Jobs

Must Haves

• - Knowledge of deep neural networks and machine learning operations with experience moving machine learning models into production
• 3-5+ years of experience in data science with a Master’s degree or PhD in Mathematics and Statistics / Physics / Computer Science / Business Analytics / Economics or any other quantitative field.
• - Expert knowledge of Python (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Pyspark)
• - Expert knowledge of data modeling and understanding of different data structures
• - Proficient with SQL and Spark

Plusses

• - Experience using big data batch and streaming tools on AWS and Databricks
• - Capability to architect highly scalable distributed systems, using different open source tools
• - Experience working with tabular data
• - Understanding of high performance data science algorithms

Day-to-Day

• Insight Global is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join one of our largest marketing and analytics clients in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of big data and will lead the team in building and enabling big data analytical solutions in the cloud environment.

Additional Responsibilities include:

• - Codes, tests, and documents new or modified data systems to create robust and scalable applications for data analytics.
• - Works with peer developers to make sure that all data solutions are consistent and ensures all automated processes to preserve data by managing the alignment of data availability and integration processes.
• - Ensure data pipelines are scalable, repeatable, and secure, and can serve multiple users within the company.
• - Translates complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture, design, and high performing software and applications.
• - Design, develop, and implement end-to-end cloud based machine learning production pipelines (data exploration, sampling, training data generation, feature engineering, model building, and performance evaluation).
• - Contribute or lead all areas of project delivery, managing technical/analytical components of projects, including project planning, definition and scoping. Work with Client teams and other specialists throughout project.
