Senior Accountant Jobs

The Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and hardworking individual to fill the role of a Senior Accountant.Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant will play an important role in financial reporting and business operations within our Accounting and Administration department. Duties involve all aspects of the accounting cycle, account reconciliations, reporting and analysis of company financial benchmarks, cash flow, and continuous improvement of the Company's procedures and reporting systems. Payroll and Benefits Administration duties will also be assumed by the Senior Accountant.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects as they arise.
• Preparing financial statements and recording all inter-company transactions properly.
• Payroll processing, employee benefits administration
• The accuracy and completeness of all month end, year end and interim financial reporting.
• The accuracy and completeness of all provincial and federal tax and payroll regulatory filing requirements.
• Provide support to other departments as required
• Providing company-wide business analysis tools related to the creation and maintenance of financial records and the production of reports relevant to the key metrics of the company.
• The production of the annual budget and required forecasts, as well as reporting on the monthly progress compared to established budgets.
• Overall daily accounting operations, providing direction to other staff on effective accounting processes and best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' of professional accounting experience
• Nearing completion of the CPA PEP program or has obtained the CPA accounting designation
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
