Community Support Connections is currently recruiting Self-Employed Contractors for our Home Support Worker Team to provide assistance with light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation.

Clients are older adults and persons with disabilities living throughout Cambridge, Kitchener and North Dumfries.

Community Support Connections screens our Self-Employed Contracted Homemakers through reference and police checks, and then matches them with eligible clients who need assistance with:

• Laundry and changing bed linens
• Other homemaking duties as required
• Wiping down/sanitizing surfaces, doors, hand rails, window frames, light switches, door handles
• Vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, mopping
• Taking out trash/recycling
• Washing dishes, cleaning the kitchen, wiping out the fridge and microwave
• Light meal prep
• Cleaning and restocking the bathroom

This position is part-time with flexible hours. Successful candidates will:

• Have Access to a reliable vehicle required
• Provide their own travel and personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Be accountable for invoicing Community Support Connections on a bi-weekly basis for approved work hours as per the signed Self-Employed Contractor Agreement
• Have exceptional cleaning skills
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have some experience with older adults and/or persons with disabilities

Successful candidates must also provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Check (VSPC) and 3 Personal References prior to being matched with clients in this program.
