Security Site Reliability Engineer, Brampton, ON

As a Security Site Reliability Engineer for the Cloud Security Engineering POD, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, highly available, and scalable cloud infrastructure and applications to support security controls across the enterprise. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is integrated into the development and deployment process and that security controls are implemented and maintained throughout the application lifecycle. You will be responsible for the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of the data and systems within the Cloud Security Engineering POD.

What You’ll Do:

• Implement and maintain security best practices and standards across the Cloud Security Engineering POD.
• Develop and maintain documentation on security procedures, standards, and guidelines.
• Develop and implement security monitoring tools and processes to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
• Build and own infrastructure through code, maintain our high-quality code base by performing code reviews, and work closely with development teams to automate CI/CD pipelines to remove repetitive processes and simplify operational needs
• Design and implement security controls for cloud infrastructure, including OCI, Azure, or Google Cloud, to ensure that the infrastructure is secure and highly available.
• Automate security processes and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize security requirements and design and implement security controls to protect against security threats.

What you Bring:

• Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Proven experience in site reliability engineering, cloud security engineering, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices, principles, and technologies, including encryption, authentication, access control, network security, and cloud security.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and technologies, including OCI, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• DevSecOps hands-on experience on GitLab/GitHub, Ansible, Terraform, Packer.
