Security Guard Kelowna - $23.00 (Day Support)

Commissionaires BC are looking for a security guard to work a summer position until 30-Sep-23 providing daytime support coverage downtown Kelowna.

Payrate: $23 per hour

We are looking for a guard with the following availability:

• Mon to Fri: 7:00AM until 3:00PM (0700 - 1500)

Your Must Haves …

• 1-2 years working in security
• Excellent English oral and written skills
• Valid BC Security License

Your nice to haves:

• De-escalation skills
• Non Violent Crisis Intervention training
• OFA Level 1
• Ability to work more than one site.

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports.
• Offering first class customer service to the client and members of the public.
• Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor.
• Continuous foot patrols
• Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts.

• Excellent multi-tasking, prioritizing, and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, and equipment such as faxes and photocopiers
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
• Physically able to conduct extensive foot patrols both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions
• Demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public
• Positive and professional attitude, with strong customer service skills
