Security Guard, Industrial Camp Temporary

Garda Fort McMurray is currently seeking temporary camp guards for a seven shift on seven days off rotation, with free flights from Edmonton and Calgary hubs.

What does a Security Guard in Fort McMurray do?

Manage access as well as access cards through the computer system

Camera surveillance of access gates and parking barriers

Greet customers and register visitors as needed

Function as a first responder in the event of a crisis or emergency

Perform daily reports and incident reports

Perform surveillance rounds with multiple foot patrols of grounds and facilities, including climbing multiple flights of stairs safely

Unlock and lock certain areas during monitoring rounds and via Lenel systems

Pedestrian bag searches and vehicle searches

Working in all types of seasonal weather conditions including dry dusty weather conditions and frigid winter temperatures.

Qualifications to become a Security Guard with Garda Fort McMurray Branch.

Valid Alberta Security Guard licence

Valid Class 5 Drivers License (NON-GDL)

3-year clear Drivers Abstract

Valid Standard First Aid with AED and CPR - Level C

CSO or BSO or OSSA and CSTS

Highschool diploma

Wildlife Awareness and Fit Testing (training provided)

Pass drug and alcohol test

Security experience considered an asset

Comfortable working on a computer (data entry and Microsoft office Suites)

At ease working as a team and offering excellent customer service
